一、國立暨南國際大學外國語文學系(以下簡稱本系)，依據大學法施行法細則第二十三條規定暨國立暨南國際大學課程委員會設置要點，設置「國立暨南國際大學外國語文學系課程委員會」(以下簡稱本會)，並訂定「國立暨南國際大學外國語文學系課程委員會設置要點」(以下簡稱本要點)。

1.          The Department of Foreign Languages (hereafter ‘the department’) establishes the Department of Foreign Languages Curriculum Committee (hereafter ‘the committee’) and the Curriculum Committee Rules (hereafter ‘the rules’), in accordance with the provisions of article 23 of the Law of Universities and the Curriculum Committee Rules of National Chi Nan University.

二、本系專任教師皆為本會委員。

2. All full time department faculty members are members of the committee.

三、本會依科目及性質下設三組次級委員會：文學、語言學（包括英語教學）、語言訓練（包括會話、英語聽講、英文寫作、大一英文、翻譯、第二外語等），各次級委員會相關規定另訂之。

3. The committee establishes three sub-committees based on the department’s curriculum: literature, linguistics (including language teaching) and language training (including English conversation, listening and speaking, composition, first year English, translation, and second language instruction).  Sub-committee rules shall be stipulated elsewhere.

四、本會另設常務委員七人，系主任為當然委員兼召集人，餘六人由各次級委員會正、副召集人擔任之，常務委員會定期開會，綜理、協調並規劃各次級委員會之事宜。

4. The committee establishes a standing committee consisting of seven members. The department chair shall serve as ex officio convenor, and the other six members shall be the chairs and vice chairs of the three sub-committees.  The standing committee shall convene regularly to coordinate, plan and assist in the work of the sub-committees.

五、本會之任務如下：

（一）確立本系之特色，規劃整體課程之方向，訂定本系課程名稱、學分與內容之準則，並審議、協調處理有關事宜。

（二）確認本系每學期擬開之課程並協調本系各專兼任教師任課及排課等事項。

（三）審核教師所提新開課程之大綱及內容。

（四）建議本系未來所需課程。

（五）審議雙主修、輔系，以及校外研修等課程要求及學分認定。

（六）審議常務委員會之決議。

5. The duties of the committee are as follows:

(1). To establish the department’s academic focus, plan the overall direction of the department curriculum, set standards for course titles, credits, and content, and to review and coordinate related matters.

(2). To determine the courses offered each semester and to assist in the assignment and scheduling of courses for all full-time and part-time department faculty members.

(3). To review and approve the course outlines and content of all new courses submitted by department faculty.

(4). To advise on future faculty needs and hiring in the department.

(5). To determine and review requirements for double majors, minors, and off-campus coursework, and to approve credits granted for the above.

六、本會另設排課小組四人，系主任為當然委員兼召集人，餘三人由各次級委員會正召集人擔任之。

6. The committee also establishes a four-member scheduling group.  The members shall consist of the department chair, acting as the ex officio convenor, and the chairs of the three sub committees.

七、本系院、校課程委員會代表，除當然委員代表，其餘委員互選產生。

7. The department’s representatives to the College and University curriculum committees shall consist of the ex-officio member. The remaining members shall be chosen by anonymous vote in the committee.

八、本會及各次級委員會每學年至少召開會議一次。

8. The committee and its sub-committees shall meet at least once a year.

九、本會開會時應二分之一以上委員出席始得審議，經出席委員過半數通過，始得決議。

9. Quorum of the committee shall consist of over half the members. Measures adopted by the committee must be approved by a two-thirds vote. Measures adopted by the standing committee must also be presented to the committee and approved by a two-thirds vote.

十、本要點經系務會議通過提送院課程委員會備查後實施，修正時亦同。

10. These rules and all future amendments must be approved by the Department Committee for adoption.
